In a press release, Aishwarya said, “For my well-being and for the self-respect of my family, I will not work with Mr Salman Khan. The chapter of Salman Khan was a nightmare in my life. I am thankful that it is over now.”

RIP Om Puri: Film industry mourns Om Puri’s death

Veteran actor Om Puri passed away early on friday morning after suffering a massive heart attack.


The actor was 66. Om Puri’s friends and colleagues from film industry reached his Andheri residence to pay their last respects to the actor. Puri’s body was taken to Cooper hospital for postmortem, following which the funeral will take place.

An actor par excellence who has worked in Indian films across various languages, Pakistani, Hollywood and British films, Om Puri’s death left his friends and colleagues shocked. Tributes for the actor started flowing immediately after the news of death broke. Aamir Khan, Anupam Kher, Mahesh Bhatt, Soni Razdan, Boman irani were the first few to take to Twitter.

Kaabil fails to join, Raees in 100 crore club

Shah Rukh Khan's star-power has clearly shown its strength at the box office, with Raees crossing the Rs 100-crore mark in its first week, whereas Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil continues to be falling short. Early estimates counsel that whereas SRK's film raked in around Rs 10 crore on day 7, Hrithik's revenge drama grossed around Rs 9.5 crore.



While the content-heavy Kaabil is currently giving stiff competition to Raees despite having lesser screens and shows, the opening day lead of SRK's film is proving difficult to shut. SRK's gangster film has raced ahead in the overseas market as well, though if reports are to be believed, Kaabil can release in pakistan in the week, earlier than Raees's release next week. as long as pakistan may be a huge consumer of bollywood films, Kaabil's early release could be a boon for Hrithik's film, especially as a result of it's probably to be the primary bollywood film to be released after the lifting of the ban on Indian films.
