Can't anyone buy property of minorities?

Is it a crime to purchase property of sellers of minority community? What does it indicate when a member of the majority community is blamed for purchase of Hindu property, even if the latter wants to sell it in case of urgent requirement of each? Is it because of fellow-feeling for the minority community or is it a ploy to fish in troubles waters? If a person shades crocodile tears for the minority even if one of them sells his property at a fair price, what should we call such persons or group of persons when he is doing such heinous things only to mislead the minority community? They do this with ulterior motives. Because they are not at all real well-wishers of the minority community. If false and fictitious facts are used only to benefit a vicious circle, then only they is to blame for serving their ulterior motives.  



I am the lawyer of the Arun Guha Majumder of Faridpur. I had been contesting court cases on his behalf for a decade and a half. I had been in legal profession in Faridpur for several decades. I am the legal identifier of the piesce of land which the Hon'ble Minister Khandaker Mosharraf has purchased from Mr. Arun Guha Majumdar. The first witness of the sale-deed is the renowned lawyer of Faridpur Mr.Narayan Chandra Das. Mr. Debashis Saha is the second witness of this deed, who also is a lawyer.


The real truth is that, it is I who requested Mr. Khondaker Mosharraf Hossain several times to purchase this land at the behest of its owner Mr. Arun Guha Majumder. I am not only a senior lawyer, aged 70 years; I am also a vice-president of Faridpur district unit of Bangladesh Awami League.as elected as president of Faridpur district Bar Association several times. I was also an elected councilor of Faridpur Pourosava a number of times. Of late, I have contested for the post of Mayor of Faridpur Pourosava with the support of the Awami League. Over and above, I am a presidium member of District unit of Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oikko Parishad.


Khandaker Mosharraf Hoossain, his father Khandaker Nurul Hossain alias Nuru Miah and their entire family played a commendable role in maintaining communal harmony in Faridpur. It is well known throughout the entire district this family has protected the minority community year after year and played the role of their guardian. We know it very well that Mr. Arun Guha Majumder received all affection and care like that of a guardian from khandaker Mosharraf’s family. The name of the only daughter of Arun Guha Majumder is Banya, which was given by khandaker mosharrf’s father. The intimate relationship between these two families can be well imagined from this naming.


A big  portion of the land sold by Mr. Arun Guha Majumder was vested property. A known land-grabber syndicate of faridpur tried to take lease of this property a few years ago. it is dut to intervention of Khandaker Mosharraf that The district administration leased out the land to Mr. Arun Guha Majumder. later, Mr, Arun Guha Majumder got back his paternal property though legal process the vicious circle which tried to take lease of The property , under possession of Mr. Arun Guha Majumder, were in fact, beneficiaries of last BNP-Jamat Alliance Govt. They made another member of the Hindu community, fake owner of the lead in question, with the help of a counterfeit land-deed using back date of many years. It may be recalled that at that time photographs were not required for registration of land-deeds. This crime syndicate backed out due to help and co-operation extended to Mr. Arun Guha Majumder by The present Govt. The Mastermind of the circle got the fake document annulled by the appropriate authorities. Besides, they have also withdrawn all litigations against Mr. Arun Guha Majumder. As a result he got back ownership of the entire land.


Mr. Arun Guha Majumder, aged above 60 and employed since long started dreaming of good times. He planned to sale The property, construct new house on another property owned by him, keep the surplus amount in back and pass a peaceful solvent life. He kept on telling me that if his nearest neighbor khandaker Mosharraf Hossain agreed to purchase his land then he can be assured of a fair deal and peace of mind. It is due to his reseated requests that I gave khandaker Mosharraf Hossain the proposal to purchase his land. Hearing the proposal he told me, `Subal, I have plenty of landed property in Faridpur town, partly ancestral and the rest through purchase. I don’t need to have any more landed property. Better you look for some other buyer.’


But Arun said that, `I need money. I will not have peace of mind if somebody else buys the land. The relation between our two families dates back to hundred years. If you purchase the land, I will get fair price in hard cash and I will also feel good. At this stage khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said, `Alright, let me talk to my brothers about it, then I will let you know my decision.’ But Arun was not ready to give up so easily. He came to me just after a couple of days and said, `Big brother, has The Honorable Minister said anything? Could you please take to him?’ I contacted him again. In this way the purchase of the said land was finalized of adn honorable price as demanded by Mr. Arun Guha Majumder. The deed writer was Mr. Bijoy Krishna Das. During the whole process of sale purchase of this land Arun Guha Majumder’s wife and their only daughter were also involved.


Arun Guha’s only daughter Banya recently got a scholarship for higher studies in a University of India. Arun Guha and his wife had, naturally, peace of mind as they have plenty of cash in hand and in Bank now. They went to India for admission of their daughter. Besides, they are also visiting their relatives living there. They did not leave the country for good of all. Arun Guha Majumder has other properties in faridpur town and also at Bhajandanga in the suburb of the town.


It can be said with certainty that us circle with is circulating fictitious story of Arun Guha Majumder is leaving the country for ever, is motivated. I asked Mr. Rana Dasgupta, General secretary of Hindu-Bouddho-Chrishan oikko parishad about it. I said, `Big brother, do you know the real truth? Did you talk to Arun? Did you talk to us?’ He was silent. We did not expect this kind of irresponsible behavior from him. Basically, he has provoked the controversy in this matter. He said, in a press conference, he has, reportedly, heard that Arun Guha Majumder’s house was forcibly occupied. Some people started a campaign in the social media holding The LGRD Minister responsible for this. Quarters having questionable identity, ulterior motives and irresponsible conduct have been allowed to spread malicious propaganda using The banner of Hindu-Bouddho- Chrishan oikko parishad. My question is, how much it is reasonable?’ Not only BNP-Jamat axis, The harbingers of 1/11 are also trying to create lawlessness and anarchic situation in The country by any means. With this aim in mind The so called civil society is also trying hard to bring different sections of our people to a clashing course. It is not single isolated incident. It may be part of a greater conspiracy.


Arun Guha Majumder will come back home after finishing his visit to India. There will be an opportunity to know the full truth from his mouth. But What will happen to them, unscrupulous elements who dishonored honorable persons by trying to fish in the troubled waters?
