There has been a strong buzz that Kareena Kapoor is likely to play Hrithik Roshan’s leading lady in dad Rakesh Roshan’s home production for his son which is supposed to roll in February 2016. However, Senior Roshan quashed these rumours, saying, “No, that’s not true at all. We are still at the finalising stage.”
Calling it an intense love story, while Rakesh chose not to confirm that who would be wielding the baton, rumoured director Sanjay Gupta clearly indicated that he would be directing Hrithik for his next. “Ok guys, it’s true that I am working on my next with Hrithik and Rakeshji. But we have not confirmed the lead actress as yet. We will soon,” Gupta tweeted.
And, strangely enough, Gupta had no idea about the producer's take on the heroine. He further tweeted, “It would be any director’s dream come true to get Hrithik and Kareena together for a film. But we have not finalised our heroine yet.”
It may be recalled that over a decade back, Kareena, who was supposed to play Hrithik's heroine in Koi Mil Gaya, had to be replaced with Preity Zinta, and apparently, the relations between Rakesh Roshan and Kareena had soured.
Although, Hrithik had remained cordial and professional with Kareena, the two were never seen together on the big screen again. Earlier, they were considered to be a hit jodi and were seen in films like - Yaadein, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Mujhse Dosti Karoge.
